Preserving Newcastle’s Military Heritage
The City of Newcastle RSL Museum is dedicated to preserving, protecting and sharing the stories of the men and women who have served Australia. Through an extensive collection of military artefacts, medals, uniforms, photographs and personal memorabilia, the museum provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore more than a century of military history and honour the legacy of those who served.

The City of Newcastle RSL Sub-Branch Military Museum preserves the stories, service and sacrifice of Australians who have served their nation.
Built through the dedication of volunteers over many years, the museum houses an extensive collection of uniforms, medals, photographs, personal records and military artefacts spanning from the Boer War through to modern operations.
Every exhibit represents a personal story. Together, they honour the courage, commitment and legacy of the men and women who have served Australia while ensuring their history continues to inspire future generations.
